The 41.4m long AK Royalty shines under the Dubai Arabian sun and is available for charter for €112,000 per week.
When it came time to buy the yacht of his dreams, Aaron Fidler knew exactly what he wanted: a fast, sporty luxury boat that would turn heads and match his gold Lamborghini. Australian born and former chief engineer, Filder had traveled the world, from European metropolises to the Amazon rainforest and Chile’s Atacama Desert, before purchasing AK Royalty in 2022. “I had long dreamed of owning a fast and sporty Palmer Johnson, so when the yacht hit the market, I knew it was what I was looking for,” Fidler tells the Robb Report.

A large part of the current owner’s multi-million dollar restoration focused on converting the existing white exterior paint to a gleaming gold. «It took time, money and a lot of work to create this particular mixture of 24-carat gold dust and marine paint so that the yacht sparkles under the sun’s reflection. The painting technique “took months to perfect,” says Fidler.
The unique super yacht is designed to accommodate 12 guests in five cabins, including a spacious master bedroom suite, with private lounge, king-size bed and sauna. It features a single living and dining area, with Fendi and Dior signature furniture and rugs, chosen in monochromatic combinations to offset the gold tones that adorn the vessel’s exterior.
Other features of the “gold” AK Royalty include a deck dining area with an entertainment area for live parties, an upstairs hot tub, and a bow sunbathing area, which can be converted into an outdoor gym equipped with boxing accessories, resistance bands, workout bench, yoga mats all under the supervision of a personal trainer. The same space is transformed into an exclusive outdoor cinema for watching movies under the stars.A swim platform allows easy access to the sea for toys, including diving equipment, a 10m long inflatable slide, a 12-person floating trampoline, seabob and jet ski.
The crew consists of eight people, led by the Chilean captain Pedro Argote and each member holds a captain’s license. “If something happens to me while we’re at sea, any of my crew can bring the ship safely to its base,”declares Argote with 30 years of experience at sea, half of which he spent serving the Dubai royal family.
During the charter, guests enjoy meals from a personal chef with Mediterranean dishes, fresh fish, and a grilling experience on hot stones.
AK Royalty’s itineraries are not limited to Dubai, but also include Abu Dhabi and the scenic waters of neighboring Oman and Saudi Arabia. Jonathan Hind, Managing Director of Dubai-based Burgess Yacht Brokers, believes that visitors are “tired of the Caribbean” and that the Arabian Peninsula is a new and exciting alternative for those looking to enjoy some winter sun.
*AK Royalty is based in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates and the rental price is 112,000 euros per week
